This course focuses on the anatomy and proportions of the human features. The material for this course is provided in the book “Anatomy, A Complete Guide for Artists.”
For this textbook there will be a Learning Portfolio all of which are answered as you study the textbook. You will work on the Learning Portfolio as you progress in your textbook.
You will receive a pass/fail on the Learning Portfolios and a
letter grade on the one comprehensive final exam based on the following scale:
90–100% = A
80-89% = B
70-79% = C
Below 70% = Fail
You must receive a letter grade of C or higher to successfully complete the program.
The course begins on the date of your enrollment. You have 90 days to complete each course. Extensions are rarely granted, and then, only for extreme emergencies or active military duty. If you don’t complete the course within the 90-day time frame, you will receive an “incomplete/withdrawal” and will have to re-register and pay tuition again if you desire to complete it.
This is a self-paced course. You may proceed at the pace that is right for you. It is acceptable to accelerate in this course and to complete it in less than 90 days.
As you progress through the course, always feel free to contact me to discuss issues, questions, etc. related to the course. I am there to be a mentor to you as you proceed with learning.

At the completion of this course, you will be able to:
1). Use proportions in units of measure.
2). Find landmarks of the body.
3). Understand the seven heads vs. eight heads.
4). Relate to the bone and muscle movement of the shoulder.
5). Design surface anatomy.
6). See how facial muscles deal with expression.
7). Understand the rotation of the head.
8). Complete the details of the skull.
9). Understand the relation of the ears, nose, lips, eyes, and teeth.
