This five-credit hour course is a continuation of Principles of
Accounting I, covering corporate accounting, long-term debt, financial
analysis, and managerial accounting and budgeting concepts. Upon
completion of this course, the student will be able to define
and develop a working knowledge of management accounting terminology
and procedures; and prepare and analyze reports for financial
decision making including statement of cash flow, budgets, variance
analysis, and other managerial decisions.
This
is a five-semester hour course. It is allotted ten weeks of time.
You must complete all of the requirements for the course successfully
by the end of the ten-week period. The first day of week one will
begin the day that you register for the course. Upon successful
completion of this course, you will earn five semester hours of
credit.
You
have 1 (one) required textbook for this course.
Book 1: Accounting, 21th edition, Working Papers Chapter 12-24. Carl Warren, James Reeve, and Philip Fess, South-Western Publishing, 2005. ISBN: 324401841.
You are responsible for reading the assigned chapters
of the course material. A course assignments schedule will be
emailed to you as soon as you enroll for the course and contact
me. Each student starts the course with an "A". In order
to exit the course with "A", the following requirements
need to be completed successfully:
1- Chapter Summaries: ( 60% ) Pick your 4 favorite
chapters in the course material and summarize them in one page.
One summary counts for 15%.
2- Exam: ( 40% ) During the last week of the class
( week 10 ), an exam will be emailed. The exam will consist of
multiple choice questions and problems.
The grading scale for this course is as follows:
90-100% = A
80-89% = B
70-79% = C
Below 70% = Fail
I prefer communication through e-mail. However, I am also available
for conversation by phone if you would like. I have two e-mail
addresses and you can use. Upon registration, you will receive
both of my e-mail addresses. When e-mailing, always include your
name and the course name in your e-mail message to me, as I may
not recognize your e-mail name.

fairness to everyone in the class, late work is not acceptable.
All assignments must be completed during the assigned times. If
a conflict exists and there is an acceptable justification for
it, you are responsible to contact me about making up the work.
Late assignments/works automatically lose one (1) letter grade.
Make ups need to be completed within one week of the missed deadline.
No extra credit is available for this course.
You are expected to do your own work, on all assignments. By being
