Breyer State University

Professor: Dr. Alan R. Eastman, DCH

Syllabus

COURSE OVERVIEW: This is an introductory level course in the Bachelor of Science curriculum offered through Breyer State University, Inc. This course is an essential course in the Bachelor of Science degree program leading to a B.S. degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy with a working knowledge of nutrition and natural healing. This course has been developed to provide all students with a basic working knowledge of the fundamental terminology, research techniques, and tools in ancient to modern natural healing and natural cures to finding the source of the healing properties of the natural abundance that flourishes and populates our planet in form of flora and fauna, water, and breathable air.

This course is a very up-to-date overview of all the main areas of natural health. People want knowledge; they want to take the best care of themselves and their children, of course. But all they see on television are ads for hemorrhoid control, headaches and dry skin, pills for this and pills for that, most pills provided symptom reduction yet never uncovering or treating the real problem, illness, or disease. Natural Healing can help in a complementary and alternate way and help cure the problem while working hand in hand in hand with modern medicine.

The entire course work including the course study guide assignments, mid-term, and final-examination(s) or paper(s) will be found in your detailed course study guide. You can locate your detailed course study guide in the on-line classroom once you are a paid and registered student.

At the beginning of the course it is advisable for the student to begin reading the textbook entirely at least once over highlighting and studying its concepts, as this will give you a good foundation for your work with your client base. Your mid-term examination paper, 5 to 10 double spaced pages, it will be a paper on a topic from the text. The final exam will be a formal paper based on a subject of your choice in how to integrate the complex world of natural healing and nutrition into your private practice as a clinical hypnotherapist and natural healer.

Students in the Clinical Hypnotherapy Bachelor's Degree will find this a very valuable course in terms of giving them a sound foundation unto which base their future work and theories in hypnotherapy, especially in developing their pre-talks, the information presented before the hypnosis session formally begins. This course is offered as an over view of the art and science of natural healing, there are many theories and therapies developed. You will learn to integrate the best and most practical methods for yourself and your clients. If you are not a registered nutritionist or doctor you can't treat or diagnose and dispense advice as to what treatments for the client to take. You can however deliver your informed choice and allow the client to tell you what they think they can achieve for themselves. Basically you are eliciting the clients own solution and reinforcing the clients ideas back to themselves in the hypnosis session. Plus, hypnosis works great for helping motivate people and have them stick to their healthy new way of life. You will learn how to implement, and you should implement, a program for healthy living and using nutritional supplements for healing the source of the clients problem through hypnosis and guided imagery through relaxation into your practice.
