Welcome to BUS 910, a doctoral level course in the curriculum for the Degree, Doctor of Philosophy in International Business. I am pleased to offer you this course, which will cover International Business Research.
The International Business Research course will emphasize current events and show a relationship between the data collected and statistical results. What do these results mean in the overall thinking of operating an International business? How can an individual use this type of data in order to improve the overall revenues and profits of an international company?
Qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methods will be examined and used throughout the course. The types of research will include qualitative inquiry, participatory, and emancipatory approaches. The course will focus on identifying different types of research strategies, data collection techniques, and analysis procedures. Through studying these techniques and applications, you will be able to plan and conduct your own business-research study.
I know you will enjoy the combination of different types of research. Please remember, this is not a strict mathematical course. The main goal of the course is to offer you usable material that will help strengthen your conceptual understanding of different research techniques, applications and implementations as related to the international business arena.
