I welcome you to a very challenging course in Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel is the industry standard for presenting information using spreadsheets, graphs and charts. Once you begin using this powerful application, I guarantee you that you will wonder how you ever got through your daily working life without it.
Microsoft Excel is fully integrated with Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint so you can copy great looking and appropriate chart data and paste them directly into other office applications. You can also work directly on Excel charts from within other office applications due to the tight integration that exists.
You can expect to enjoy this practical course as you master various aspects of the Excel program. You will learn the basics of the Excel screens and menus, the different ways to work with data sheets, the powerful formula function, how to format great looking spreadsheets, how to use cell references and how to create and manipulate graphs and charts. The coursework that you will complete in this course follows the MOUS standards.
