SYLLABUS

COURSE OVERVIEW: Welcome to the online learning environment of Breyer State University. We appreciate your choosing our programs for your educational experience. As your instructor, I hope that you shall enjoy this online course. After several years of teaching in both further and Higher education, I believe that learning of material is best achieved through individual research and analysis and case studies as opposed to memorization of facts and text. Therefore, this course contains no traditional examinations, but concentrates upon your opinion, your evaluation of the author's discussions, and your research. Hence, you will be required to complete two assignments for this course.

During this term, this course shall present an overview of information technology principles from both personal and professional views. I expect that you shall not only read and analyze the textbook material, but shall continue to learn and research the materials presented within your textbook. The writing exercises within this course shall allow you to expand your knowledge of the textbook material and will give you the opportunity to discuss and critique the author's writings. After you submit your writing assignments, I shall return an evaluated copy through e-mail.

I urge you to order the textbook and begin reading as quickly as possible. As you progress through the chapters, please do not hesitate to contact me for support. This support includes providing advice and guidance to help you successfully complete your course, giving feedback to any course assignments you do, developing your study skills and learning online, and solving any problems that you may be having with your learning. I will also supply you additional materials to support your learning.
