This is a five-hour course in the curriculum for the Bachelor
of Science Degree in E-Business & Commerce. The course introduces
the fundamental concepts and implementation of database systems.
The goal of the course is to provide an understanding of the fundamental
concepts of data base and how data base technologies can meet
the need of E-Business and commerce information systems. You will
be able to familiarize with data base system designs , programming
and applications of modern data base management systems and will
have a working knowledge of the types of data base system designs
and their strengths and weaknesses in solving a variety of information
management problems.
This
five-semester hour course is allotted ten weeks of time. You must
complete all of the requirements for the course successfully by
the end of the ten-week period. The first day of week one will
begin the day that you register for the course, or the day which
you notify me that your textbook has arrived and you are ready
to begin your studies. Upon successful completion of this course,
you will earn five semester hours of credit..

The grading scale for this course is as follows:
900-1000 = A
800-899 = B
700-799 = C
Below 700 = Fail
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
1). Understand the fundamental concepts of data
base.
2). Evaluate and use methodologies for data base design.
3). Appy correct procedures for ensuring integrity of data.
4). Assess the protocols necessary for data bases used in E-Business
and Commerce.

These are my course policies.
Late Work: In fairness to everyone in the class,
late work is not acceptable. All assignments must be completed
during the assigned times. If a conflict exists and there is an
acceptable justification for it, you are responsible to contact
me about making up the work. Late assignments/works automatically
lose one (1) letter grade. Make ups need to be completed within
one week of the missed deadline.
Extra Credit: No extra credit is
available.
