COURSE OVERVIEW: Welcome to DCH 501, a doctorate level course in the curriculum of the Degree, Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am pleased to offer you this course which will be a foundational course for the remainder of your studies in the doctorate program at Breyer State University. This is a course that has been developed to enhance your professional skills, and to give you a strong foundation in the practice of hypnotherapy. This course is the opportunity to develop a base for your future endeavors in the field of hypnotherapy. This course is structured to provide you a structured learning environment within the framework of a distance learning program.

The course will provide us a background for exploring the often esoteric concepts of clinical hypnotherapy. The course has been developed to explain in plain language the concepts of clinical hypnotherapy. We start at the basics and work our way upward. The selected textbooks provide the reader with the principles, theories, and practical uses of clinical hypnotherapy. Clinical Hypnotherapy has become a profession in its own right, and those who study and become well versed in its concepts often become well sought after healers, counselors, speakers, and authors, to name a few.

This course provides a starting place for the understanding of the mind, body, and spirit. This course, through the chosen textbooks, also provides you, exact scripts to follow to help clients make requested behavioral changes. Hypnosis is often surrounded in mystery and this course helps to shatter the myths about hypnosis and its origins. The seasoned practitioner and the beginning student will find these techniques and methods simple, unique and easily adaptable to the real world therapy setting. The text develops a background of knowledge, which every practitioner of hypnosis must know, and helps us translate the scientific jargon of therapy into real language our clients will understand. Indeed, our clients will need help in understanding the phenomena of hypnosis, and this course will show you how to demystify hypnosis for your clients. This course will also show you how to achieve a high success rate with your chosen clientele.

The wizard within speaks to our inner hidden master who helps and guides us through this journey, just as you the Hypnotherapist, will facilitate and guide the client through the hypnosis session. Welcome to the Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy Program, it is my pleasure to help you through this course.
