Welcome to DCH 502, a doctorate level course in the curriculum of the Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy Degree program. I am pleased to offer you this course which will be an enhancement of your basic knowledge in the field of clinical hypnotherapy. From this point on in the program, the courses will be challenging you to stretch and grow your knowledge in a more esoteric sense. You will be developing a scientific knowledge, a skill base, and an inferential knowledge about those phenomena that are experienced, yet may be difficult to describe with our current language.
This is a course that is developed to further enhance your professional skills, and to give you an insight into the subconscious mind. This course is the opportunity to develop a sense of what happens under the surface of our conscious thinking. This course is structured to provide you a structured learning environment within the framework of a distance learning program.
The course will be a leap into the workings of the subconscious mind. This course asks that you think consciously about subconscious, an often-difficult task. The course has been developed to allow you to explore the integration of East/West concepts of the subconscious mind. We use our basic knowledge of hypnotherapy to grow our knowledge in the practical and conceptual uses of the subconscious mind. The selected textbooks provide the reader with the principles, theories, and practical uses of East vs. West concepts of the subconscious mind. By contrasting and comparing how the subconscious mind is described in the East with how the subconscious mind is described in the West this course provides you a unique way of understanding the phenomena of the subconscious.
This course provides a starting place for the understanding of the subconscious mind. This course, through the chosen textbooks, also provides you exact scripts to follow to help you work with subjects or clients. Using the scripts will give you an understanding of how to create possibilities utilizing the vast power of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind can be a difficult concept for many westerners to understand. We must flex and bend our minds, looking towards the East to those who have understood the and used the power of the subconscious mind for thousands of years. You are asked to find volunteers, or create a tape of the scripts contained within the text to use for self-hypnosis. The text takes many eastern concepts and describes them in Western language. The best way to understand the text is to read the descriptions and highlight the important concepts. Take notes in your own words. Make an outline of the phenomena described. Above all, you must practice the scripts as they are worded in the course text. They have been designed to help you and your subjects to experience the phenomena that are described in the text.
Finding true magic is the starting point of your journey through a transpersonal blending of Eastern and Western views and techniques applied to the art and discipline of Hypnotherapy.
This course will be an intricate weaving of depth hypnosis, regression therapy, past life therapy, inner child therapy, subpersonality, and archetypical transformation, plus many more. As this course touches on many of the topics you will be studying in further detail. It is suggested that you learn this material well. You will be instructed on how to add a holistic approach to mind body healing. These transpersonal hypnotherapy tools are blended with some NLP tools, if NLP is new to you, that is ok, you will be taking some courses on NLP in this program at a later date. Welcome to course 2 in the Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy Program, it is my pleasure to help you through this course.
This is a five-semester hours course. This course is allotted ten weeks time frame for completion. You must complete all of the requirements for the course to be successfully completed by the end of the ten week period.
