Welcome to DCH 508, a doctorate level course in the curriculum of the Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy Degree program. I am pleased to offer you this course which is a brief overview of various complementary therapies for physical and mental health.
This course is based on the text entitled: Mind Medicine, by Uri Geller, 1999. This text is an encyclopedia of mind power. This text shows the links between mind and body and provides exercises to reveal for yourself the power of the mind. This text examines ancient and new age therapies from around the world and shows how these therapies can be combined with our four energy bodies to combine modern medicine and complementary therapies to derive the most benefit from both.
Welcome to course eight in the Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy Program, it is my honor to help you through this course.
This is a five-semester hour course. This course is allotted ten weeks time frame for completion. You must complete all of the requirements for the course to be successfully completed by the end of the ten-week period. Distance learning requires a certain amount of self-discipline and in someway's it can be more demanding than traditional educational programs because you must set time aside each day for your course work. If you set aside an hour, or two, each day for reading and writing, you should have no problem completing the course within the time frame given. Of course, you must add additional time for each course you are taking, so you must balance your regular life with your student life.

You study and meet the program objectives at your own pace, and are permitted to complete the program in less than the allotted time frame, but cannot complete the course in less than four weeks. Extensions will only be given to those individuals with exceptional extenuating circumstances, such as family problems, illness, etc... and a note from a therapist, or doctor, needs to be sent to me when you ask for an extension. The note should specify how much time you need before you resume your studies.
Once officially enrolled, you are given a security password and directions to accessing the online classroom for the program. The classroom contains information about me, course assignments, ordering information for textbooks, course objectives, syllabus and information regarding exams.
