Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Addictions Counseling Psychology graduate degree program. Students begin with the study of ethical issues, theories intervention and techniques. Specific courses focus on marriage and family addictions, group therapy, recovery strategies and addiction issues in society. The final course in the curriculum is an independent study symposium in which students work with their instructor and design a full learning-contract that is focused on a particular specialty or research related topic in addictions counseling psychology. The prerequisites for this program are: an earned bachelor degree in psychology, behavioral psychology, health and human services, or a related field.

All   courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. TUITION: $550.00 per course ($650.00 per dissertation course). Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

** There is also a one time $50.00 admission processing fee.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor. For all Symposium Courses, students are permitted up to a six month period for completion. Doctoral students are permitted one year for all Dissertation/Doctoral Project courses.

TRANSFER CREDITS & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CREDITS: Up to fifty percent of the degree may be earned by transfer credits from other schools and/or application for the award of experiential learning credits.
