DOCTORATE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA)

Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Business Administration Doctorate degree program. Business Administration is a preparation for advanced leadership in business, government and the public and private sector.

Through this program you will learn the skills needed to succeed in this field. All of the courses are focused on the degree major thus allowing students maximum learning in the core courses and the education needed today to succeed in a successful career. Business Administration is a very strong career option. Agencies and clients seek out those with a strong and focused education in all facets of Business Administration.

Students begin with the study of leadership, managing teams, international business and current issues. In the higher division courses students enter research and the doctoral symposium courses where they are able to focus more in one area of Business Administration.   Several career fields this degree will prepare you for are:

The prerequisites for this program are: an earned master’s degree in business or management, or a related field. Past experiences in middle or executive level management may be considered.

The online curriculum offers an innovative approach to higher education Enrollment is open and students may begin the program at any time. All   courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. Our Online Degree in Business Administration curriculum includes:

1. LDR 501 Leadership Theory 5 hrs
2. BUS 630 Management of Teams 5 hrs
3. BUS 816 International Business 6 hrs
4. MNG 951 Cultural Issues in Management 6 hrs
5. MNG 1101 Strategic Management and Policy 6 hrs
6. MNG 1201 Human Resource Management Issues 6 hrs
7. RES 501 Research Methods 20 hrs
8. BUS 800 Doctoral Symposium 20 hrs

TOTAL: 74 Semester Hours

Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

TUITION: $550.00 per course ($650.00 per dissertation course). Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

Graduates are awarded the Degree:

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor. For all Symposium Courses, students are permitted up to a six month period for completion. Doctoral students are permitted one year for all Dissertation/Doctoral Project courses.

* Note: cost of tuition does not include cost of text books.

** There is also a one time $50.00 admission processing fee.

Certificate Option: students have the option of first enrolling into and completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in this degree program. All courses in the graduate certificate program will transfer in to the Doctorate Degree Program. Following graduation with the Post-Graduate Certificate, students may then elect to enroll in the Doctorate degree program and complete the remaining courses.
