Organizational Psychology Degree Program

Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Organizational Psychology degree program. Organizational Psychology is an important aspect in any company.  Students of this field have a better understanding of the mind set needed to run an effective business plan.   It enables them to comprehend the flow of the business, the mindset of the employees, and fulfill leadership roles in today’s modern business world.   

Through this program students will learn the skills needed to succeed in this field. All of the courses are focused on the major. This allows students to maximize their learning in the core courses and succeed in their educational and career goals.

Students begin with the study of organizational and group psychology. Specific courses focus on personnel, vocational, and social psychology. In the higher division courses students enter symposium and project courses where they are able to focus more in one area of Organizational Psychology, and as well as complete a dissertation at the end of their program. These specialty courses allow students maximum opportunities to experience the real world.   Several career fields this degree will prepare you for are:

The prerequisites for this program are: an earned master degree in business administration, management, psychology, or a related field.

The online curriculum offers an innovative approach to higher education. Enrollment is open and students may begin the program at any time. All courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. Our online Organizational Psychology degree curriculum includes:

3. OPSY 500 Personnel Psychology 6 hrs
4. OPSY 520 Vocational Psychology 6 hrs
5. OPSY 600 Social Psychology Symposium I 10 hrs
6. OPSY 700 Leadership Symposium 10 hrs
7. OPSY 800 Consulting Symposium 10 hrs
8. RES 503 Research Methods 10 hrs
9. OPSY 950 Doctoral Dissertation or Project 20 hrs

TOTAL: 84 Semester Hours

Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

TUITION: $550.00 per course ($650.00 per dissertation course). Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

* Note: cost of tuition does not include cost of text books.

** There is also a one time $50.00 admission processing fee.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor. For all Symposium Courses, students are permitted up to a six month period for completion. Doctoral students are permitted one year for all Dissertation/Doctoral Project courses.

Prerequisites: an earned Masters Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, or Management.

TRANSFER CREDITS & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CREDITS: Up to fifty percent of the degree may be earned by transfer credits from other schools and/or application for the award of experiential learning credits.
