Information Sheet on our Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art History

Thank you for your interest in our online Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art History program. Very few (distance program) opportunities exist today to acquire higher education through online courses in Art History. Breyer State is proud to offer a new "Innovative" online distance education degree program leading to the BA Degree in Art History. Our degree program consists of 5 core courses and 8 elective courses, which are listed below:

3. ART 215 Survey of Western Art I 8 hrs
4. ART 220 Survey of Western Art II 8 hrs
5. ART 225 History of Color & Mixing Colors 8 hrs
6. ART 255 Italian Renaissance Art 8 hrs
7. ART 260 Egyptian Art 8 hrs
8. ART 300 Medieval Art 8 hrs
9. ART 325 Early Christian and Byzantium Art 8 hrs
10. ART 340 French Art 8 hrs
11. ART 370 Painting in Spain: El Greco to Goya 8 hrs
12. ART 425 Baroque & Rocco: Art & Culture 8 hrs
13. ART 490 Theories and Methods of Art Historical Research 16 hrs

TOTAL: 120 Semester Hours

Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

Upon successful completion of all required courses, you will be conferred the degree "Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History" and may use the initials, "BA" after your name.

All courses are targeted and precise, clear and easy to follow, yet challenging and exciting at the same time. Each course begins with a syllabus from your instructor, followed by course assignments. You will be given five years to complete the degree program. Graduates, who reside outside of the USA, may require their degrees to have an Apostille Certification.  Breyer State University works with an agency in Washington DC that we refer graduates to for application for their Apostille of their degree. View Additional Information

FAQS:

1). There are no residency or travel requirements for this degree program.
2). Courses may be registered for and paid for, all at once or one course at a time.
3). You may take more than one course at one time, except for the final specialty track course, Art 490, which must be taken individually.

5). Tuition does not include the course of required textbooks and/or supplies.
6). To apply for this Degree Program, you must complete an online enrollment application. This can be done at www.breyerstate.com/apply.htm
7). There is a one-time $50.00 admissions fee. This can be paid by credit card online at our secure server www.breyerstate.com/pay.htm .We also accept personal checks and money orders payable to Breyer State University. These may be mailed to 2100 SouthBridge Parkway, Suite 650, Birmingham, Alabama 35209.
8). You must have a high school diploma or equivalent for admission to this degree program.
9). There are no grants or tuition assistant for this program. However, many employers are paying for or reimbursing tuition for studies at Breyer State University. Please check with your own employer's policy on this.
10). Breyer State University will accept transfer credits of completed courses from other universities.
11). Upon graduation, your diploma and official transcripts will have Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art History printed on the diploma.

13). Our diplomas are beautifully done by a professional printer. They are a light cream color card stock with blue and black foil ink for lasting quality. The Breyer State University logo is imprinted and our diplomas carry the gold embossed seal of the university. They are contained in a beautiful navy blue leather-like diploma holder with the university logo embossed in gold on the outside cover.
