Thank you for your interest in our online Bachelor of Science in
Nursing Degree Program by competency examinations. Very few (distance
program) opportunities exist today for registered nurses to acquire
their education through online courses. Breyer State is proud to
offer a new "Innovative" online distance degree program
leading to the BSN Degree. Our degree program consists of eleven
competency examinations. There are no clinical requirements and
no travel requirements for testing. All examinations are taken online
at our website.

TOTAL: 72 Semester Hours of Upper Division Nursing Credits.
Students who are accepted into the program receive 52 hours
of lower division nursing credits. Upon graduation students are
awarded the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with a total of
124 semester hours of credit. Lower Division credit awards will
be listed on the students final official transcripts along with
the Upper Division credit awards by competency examinations.
1). Current licensure as a Registered Nurse is required for admission.
2). A minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience is
required for admission.
3). Upon official enrollment, students take the eleven (11) competency
examinations as
above. Students may elect to review for the examinations. Students
who receive a
a passing score of 70% or above, receive full credit for the course.
Upon successful
completion of all eleven competency examinations, students are conferred
the
degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
4). Students must provide official transcripts verifying graduation
from a diploma program
program in nursing or an Associate Degree Program to qualify for
admission.
5). All examinations are "timed" and taken online.
6). There are no courses to complete. There are NO clinical requirements.
7). Upon official enrollment, students are provided with information
regarding references
and recommended resources for reviewing and preparing for the examinations.
8). There are no clinical examinations. All examinations are written.
9). Once a student registers for a competency examination, they
have 90 days in which to
schedule the examination. Full instructions for taking the examinations
are provided
upon official acceptance and enrollment into the degree program.
10).Competency examinations are objective type.
11).Students have four (4) years from the date of acceptance to
complete the eleven (11)
examinations.
12). There is a one-time admissions fee of $50.00. There is also
a one-time transcripts
evaluation fee of $100.00 for transfer and award of lower division
nursing courses
semester hours of credits.
13). Students who graduate from the BSN Degree Program by competency
examinations, are automatically accepted into the MSN Degree Program
at Breyer State University.
14). This program is not NLN (National League of Nursing)
accredited. If your goal is to enroll into an NLN accredited
Masters degree program in nursing, please note that the school may
or may not accepted a non-NLN accredited BSN for admission. Each
school has their own unique policies for admission into their degree
programs.
15). If a grade of 70% or above is not achieved on a competency
examination, students will be given the option of completing a written
assignment to make up points needed to receive a passing score.
16). Our diplomas are beautifully done by a professional printer.
They are a light cream color card stock with blue and black foil
ink for lasting quality. The Breyer State University logo is imprinted
and our diplomas carry the gold embossed seal of the university.
They are contained in a beautiful navy blue leather-like diploma
holder with the university logo embossed in gold on the outside

Students may register and pay for one examination at a
time.

Apostille Notarization of Degrees
Graduates, who reside outside of the USA, may require their degrees to have an Apostille Certification. Breyer State University works with an agency in Washington DC that we refer graduates to for application for their Apostille of their degree. View Additional Information
1). There are no residency or travel requirements for this degree
program.
2). Courses may be registered for and paid for, all at once or one
course at a time.
3). You may register for more than one competency examination at
a time.

There is also a one-time transcripts
evaluation fee of $100.00 for transfer and award of lower division

orders payable to Breyer State University. These may be mailed to

8). Prerequisites: Candidates for admission must hold a current
registered nurse license.
9). There are no grants or tuition assistant for this program. However,
many employers
are paying for or reimbursing tuition for studies at Breyer State
University. Please
check with your own employer's policy on this.
10). Breyer State University will accept transfer credits of completed
courses from other
universities. Bachelor's level courses in nursing may qualify for

11). Upon graduation, your diploma and official transcripts will
say Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
