Information Sheet on our Masters of Science in Nursing Degree Program.

Thank you for your interest in our online Masters of Science in Nursing. Very few (distance program) opportunities exist today for case managers to acquire their education through online courses. Breyer State is proud to offer a new "Innovative" online distance education degree program leading to the Masters of Science in Nursing . Our degree program consists of seven core courses and choosing a specialty track which are listed below:

1. NRS 500 Concepts & Roles- Advance Practice Nursing 6 hrs
2. NRS 501 Theoretical Concepts in Nursing Practice 6 hrs
3. NRS 502 Legal & Ethical Issues in Nursing Practice 6 hrs
4. NRS 503 Nursing Assessment Across the Life Span 6 hrs
5. NRS 504 Alternative Care Therapies 6 hrs
6. NRS 505 Spirituality in Nursing Practice 6 hrs
7. NRS 506 Nursing Research 6 hrs

Nursing Students are required to select a Specialty Practice Track and complete all courses for the track.

Medical-Surgical Nursing Track

Upon successful completion of all seven courses and the specialty track, you will be conferred the degree " Masters of Science in Nursing ” and may use the initials, "MSN" after your name. The MSN Degree prepares you for a successful career in the medical world. Upon graduation, this program is designed for you to immediately enter into a management position in the medical profession. All courses are targeted and precise, clear and easy to follow, yet challenging and exciting at the same time. Each course begins with a syllabus from your instructor, followed by course assignments. You will be given five years to complete the MSN program. While Breyer State University is accredited by the Central States Consortium of Colleges and Schools, the MSN Degree program is NOT accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLN). Apostille Notarization of Degrees

Graduates, who reside outside of the USA, may require their degrees to have an Apostille Certification.  Breyer State University works with an agency in Washington DC that we refer graduates to for application for their Apostille of their degree. View Additional Information

FAQS:

1). There are no residency or travel requirements for this degree program.
2). Courses may be registered for and paid for, all at once or one course at a time.
3). You may take more than one course at one time, except for the Nursing Practicum’s.
They must be taken individually in sequence.
4). Breyer State University is accredited by the Association for Innovation in Distance Education. To learn more about our accreditation please view www.breyerstate.com/accreditation.htm
5). Tuition does not include textbooks.
6). To apply for the MSN Degree Program, you must complete an online enrollment
application. This can be done at www.breyerstate.com/apply.htm
7). There is a one-time $50.00 admissions fee. This can be paid by credit card online at
our secure server www.breyerstate.com/pay.htm We also accept personal checks and money orders payable to Breyer State University. These may be mailed to 2100 SouthBridge Parkway, Suite 650, Birmingham, Alabama 35209.
8). Prerequisites: an earned Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Community Health, Public
Health, or a related discipline. Candidates for admission must hold a current registered
nurse license.
9). There are no grants or tuition assistant for this program. However, many employers
are paying for or reimbursing tuition for studies at Breyer State University. Please
check with your own employer's policy on this.
10). Breyer State University will accept transfer credits of completed courses from other
universities.
11). Upon graduation, your diploma and official transcripts will have a Masters of
Science in Nursing, as well as your major area of study printed on the diploma.

13). Our diplomas are beautifully done by a professional printer. They are a light cream color card stock with blue and black foil ink for lasting quality. The Breyer State University logo is imprinted and our diplomas carry the gold embossed seal of the university. They are contained in a beautiful navy blue leather-like diploma holder with the university logo embossed in gold on the outside cover.
