Upon
successful completion of the eleven core courses
you will be conferred the degree "Doctor of Philosophy in Addictions
Counseling Psychology and
may use the initials, "Ph.D" after your name.
The Ph.D Degree in Addictions Counseling Psychology prepares
you for a successful career in the speciality counseling practice
of
"addictions." Upon graduation, this program is designed
for you to enter into a position dealing with counseling of persons
with various addictions. For the most part, this program is designed
for professionals who already have a graduate degree related
to counseling, psychology, or social services or a health care
profession. This is not designed as an entry level degree into
the behavioral health care professions.
All courses are targeted and precise,
clear and easy to follow, yet challenging and exciting at the same
time. Each course begins with a syllabus from your instructor,
followed by course assignments. You will be given five years to

This curriculum is not designed to meet any specific state

Graduates, who reside outside of the USA, may require their degrees to have an Apostille Certification. Breyer State University works with an agency in Washington DC that we refer graduates to for application for their Apostille of their degree. View Additional Information
1). There are no residency or travel requirements for this degree
program.
2). Courses may be registered for and paid for, all at once or one
course at a time.
3). You may take more than one course at one time, however, AC
695 can only be taken after successful completion of all our required
courses in the curriculum.

5). Tuition does not include the course of required textbooks.
6). To apply for the Ph.D Degree Program, you must complete an
online enrollment application. This can be done at www.breyerstate.com/apply.htm
7). There is a one-time $50.00 admissions fee. This can be paid
by credit card online at our secure server www.breyerstate.com/pay.htm
We also accept personal checks and money orders payable to Breyer
State University.
8). The requirement for admission to this degree program is an
earned graduate degree in psychology, counseling,
human and health services, social services, nursing, medicine or
a closely related health care or behavioral health care field.
9). There are no grants or tuition assistant for this program. However,
many employers are paying for or reimbursing tuition for studies
at Breyer State University. Please check with your own employer's
policy on this.
10). Breyer State University will accept transfer credits of completed
courses from other universities.
11). Upon graduation, your diploma and official transcripts will
have Ph.D in Addictions Counseling Psychology
printed on the diploma.
12). Breyer State University offers an innovative program whereby
you can apply for and receive up to 50% of your degree requirements
via life/career experiences and/or transfer credits. Full information

13). Our diplomas are beautifully done by a professional printer.
They are a light cream color card stock with blue and black foil
ink for lasting quality. The Breyer State University logo is imprinted
and our diplomas carry the gold embossed seal of the university.
They are contained in a beautiful navy blue leather-like diploma
holder with the university logo embossed in gold on the outside

14) 13). This degree program does not meet any type of licensing
requirements for a professional counseling license. Many states will
allow one to work under the direction of a licensed counselor and/or
other mental health licensed professional. If you have any questions
or concerns as to whether your state or country allows practice in
counseling in this specialty practice without an official license,
then please be sure to check with your state's licensing agency/board
before enrolling into this degree program. Please note that this
degree program is not approved by the American Psychological Association
(APA). Again, there are agencies/employers that do hire holders of
degrees in counseling, where the state laws allow practice under
supervision, or do not require licensure. It is important to first
check with your own state or country's licensing laws/requirements.
