In
this course you will look at today's environment in the workplace
and leadership requirements, how personal, managerial and leadership
skills are different for certain individuals to be successful,
motivation, stress management, work/life balance, managing and
inspiring team communication, conflict management, sharing one's
knowledge, value differences and to inspire leadership.
This
is a five-semester hour course. This course is allotted ten weeks
of time. You must complete all of the requirements for the course
successfully by the end of the ten-week period. The first day
of week one will begin the day that you register for the course,
or the day which you notify me that your textbook has arrived
and you are ready to begin your studies. Please be cognizant of
the time frame. It is rare that extensions of time are permitted,
unless you have good justification. Upon successful completion
of this course, you will be awarded five semester hours of credit.
There
are two (2) required textbooks for this course. Please purchase
your books as soon as possible.

There will be two tests in this class. The first one is the mid-term
that will cover chapters 1-7 and be approximately 25 questions.
The second will be the final and will cover chapters 8-14 and
be approximately 25 questions. These tests will be discussion
type questions.
There are 850 total points available for the class.
1). Weekly discussion questions: Ten weeks
at 50 points each for a total of 500 points.
2). Mid-term exam: 100 points.
3). Final exam: 100 points.
4). Written project: 150 points.
The grading
scale for this course is as follows:
90-100% = A
80-89% = B
70-79% = C
Below 70% = Fail
The
written assignment for this class will be to write a 10-15-page
paper about a leader that you would like to model yourself after.
This is someone whose work is outstanding in whatever field you
so choose. This paper will need to be in APA format. The paper
will count 150 points of your final grade. Topic needs to be approved
by myself no later than week two.
The

This is a Master level course. You must be accepted into the masters
degree program at Breyer State University, in order to register
for this course.
