Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Nursing degree program. This degree will prepare registered nurses at the graduate level to advance in this practices by choosing a specialty area of study..
    
Through this program you will learn the skills needed to succeed in this field. All of the courses are focused on the degree major thus allowing students maximum learning in the core courses and the education needed today to succeed in a successful advanced Nursing career. Agencies and clients seek out those with a strong and focused education in all facets of Nursing.
    
Students begin with the study of theoretical concepts, legal and ethical issues and alternative therapies. Areas of specialty study include, medical-surgical nursing, grief counseling and Thanatology, case management, nursing administration, legal nurse consulting, critical care nursing, gerontological nursing, critical care nursing and emergency/trauma nursing. These specialty courses allow students maximum opportunities to experience the real world.   Several career fields this degree will prepare you for are:

The prerequisites for this program are: an earned bachelor degree in nursing. Candidates must be a current registered nurse.

The online curriculum offers an innovative approach to higher education Enrollment is open and students may begin the program at any time. All   courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

TUITION = $500.00 per course.

Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor. For all Symposium Courses, students are permitted up to a six month period for completion. Doctoral students are permitted one year for all Dissertation/Doctoral Project courses.

Certificate Option: students have the option of first enrolling into and completing a Graduate Certificate in this degree program. All courses in the graduate certificate program will transfer in to the Masters Degree Program. Following graduation with the Graduate Certificate, students may then elect to enroll in the masters degree program and complete the remaining courses. Prerequisites: an earned Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Community Health, Public Health, or a related discipline. Candidates for admission must hold a current registered nurse license.

Note: this degree program is not approved or accredited by the National League of Nursing (NLN).

TRANSFER CREDITS & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CREDITS: Up to fifty percent of the degree may be earned by transfer credits from other schools and/or application for the award of experiential learning credits.
