This examination
focuses on issues related to Transcultural Nursing in the areas

issues and care. Core content includes the history of transcultural
nursing, as well as issues of cultural beliefs, practices, values
and implications for nursing practice. The examination covers common
beliefs and practices from many different cultures. This examination
also covers information related to consultation in transcultural
nursing, as well as administration, research and issues for the
future.
This examination
contains objective-type questions, including multiple choice and
true/false.

This competency
examination is worth five semester hours of college credits for
the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program.
You must achieve
at least a 70% score to pass this examination.
The grading scale
for this competency examination is:
90%-100% = A
89%-80% = B
79%-70% = “PASS”
Below-70% = Fail
You will have four hours to complete this examination. The
examination is taken online at the university web site.
If a score of
70% is not achieved on the examination, you will have an opportunity
to complete independent study course work to receive credits.
