It covers a comprehensive review of major trends and issues in professional practice, including bioethics, professional development, nursing certification, career burn-out, theories and models, delivery systems, politics, spirituality, diversity and much more. Historical perspectives and contemporary nursing theories related to professional practice are fully reviewed and examined. This examination evaluates knowledge level of professional issues in practice at the bachelor's degree level.
This examination contains objective- type questions, including multiple choice and true/false.
This examination contains 100 questions.

This competency examination is worth five semester hours of college credits for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program.
You must achieve at least a 70% score to pass this examination.
The grading scale for this competency examination is:
90%-100% = A
89%-80% = B
79%-70% = "PASS"
Below-70% = Fail
You will have four hours to complete this examination. The examination is taken online at the university web site.
If a score of 70% is not achieved on the examination, you will have an opportunity to complete independent study course work to receive credits.
