Masters of Science in Nursing Completion Program
This course is specifically designed for the APN who is in the MSN Completion Program.
This MSN Course will address the complex issues that nursing is faced with today and what trends lie ahead for the practicing nurse of tomorrow. As you can imagine this course captures much of the history of nursing practice while focusing on legal, ethical, political, educational and economic issues. The topics that are important are so vast it would require pages just to list them. During this course you will recognize how prior learning in this program relates to the ability of nurses to remain flexible and be willing to adapt to change. You must remain focused on high-quality care. Values and beliefs are paramount for success. The nursing profession needs highly skilled nurses who can teach, do research, solve complex problems, provide nurse practitioner services and obtain advanced degrees. As you can see this course is intended for the Advanced Practice Nurse to champion the issues of today and the trends of tomorrow.

The primary method for communicating in this course is by email. This does not restrict you from communicating by regular mail or by telephone. What is important is an ongoing dialogue with me during the entire course. I require weekly email contact. Issues, concerns and progress relative to the course activities should be addressed. I consider communication so important that the residual 10% of the course grade is weighted on fulfilling this requirement.
