Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Health Care Administration doctoral degree program.   Sweeping changes in care delivery systems and reimbursement systems has had a dramatic change in the health care industry. Now, more than ever, organizations seek highly qualified specialists to provide the necessary leadership and management to confront these changes and facilitate more needed transformations. Doctoral prepared executives and consultants are in demand in the health care industry. New leadership practitioners, consultants, and researchers are highly sought out.      

All of the courses are focused on the major. This allows students to maximize their learning in the core courses and succeed in their educational and career goals.

Students begin with the study of organizational psychology, health care law and ethics. Specific courses focus on research methods and advanced strategic planning. In the higher division courses students enter symposium and project courses where they are able to focus more in one area of Health Care, and complete a dissertation at the end of their program. These specialty courses allow students maximum opportunities to experience the real world.   Several career fields this degree will prepare you for are:

The prerequisites for this program are: an earned master degree in health care administration. Candidates with an earned graduate degree in a related discipline with health care administration experience will be considered.

The online curriculum offers an innovative approach to higher education. Enrollment is open and students may begin the program at any time. All courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. Our online Health Care Administration degree curriculum includes:

TOTAL: 84 Semester Hours

Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

TUITION: $550.00 per course ($650 per dissertation course). Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

* Note: cost of tuition does not include cost of text books.

** There is also a one time $50.00 admission processing fee.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor. For all Symposium Courses, students are permitted up to a six month period for completion. Doctoral students are permitted one year for all Dissertation/Doctoral Project courses.

Certificate Option: students have the option of first enrolling into and completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in this degree program. All courses in the graduate certificate program will transfer in to the Doctorate Degree Program. Following graduation with the Post-Graduate Certificate, students may then elect to enroll in the Doctorate degree program and complete the remaining courses.
