Correct decision was made; these machines are now the foundation
of our most successful manufacturing department.

resulted in 66% decrease in nonconformance.
· Implemented a computerized SPC system for the front spindle
cell. The system became a necessary tool to the operators in the
cell.
· Managed the project to implement a plant-wide Ford Q-1
acceptable quality system; FMEA, control plan, gaging, GR&R's,
SPC control charting, Cpk reporting, and product auditing.

to an acceptable 4% by programming change, vibration equipment,
and gage mastering system.
· Champion of an Employee Involvement team in the Ford spindle
cell that caused cost reductions from a $10 per unit loss to a marginal
profit; 20% nonconformance to less than 2% nonconformance in 2 1/2
years.
