Ian Marshall is a professional in Marketing, Sales, Business Management
and Entrepreneurial Development. With over 10 years of Independent
Business Consulting experience Ian provides his client base with
consulting and training on Strategic Marketing Plans, Business Plans,
Advertising, Budgeting, Production Planning, Market Research and
Business Management. Ian has over fifteen years of experience at
senior management level holding positions such as National Marketing
Manager, General Manager and Managing Director.
Ian has consulted for many blue chip companies in various Industry
disciplines including: Telecommunication, Waste Management, Building
and Construction, Beer Brewing and the Training Industry. Ian has
addressed several international conferences and been part of the
successful implementation of strategic, marketing and business plans,
which have dramatically increased bottom line results for many of
his clients. Ian is listed in the South African Who’s Who
of Marketing and was the Honorary Guest Speaker at the South African
Secretary of the Year Awards in 1998.
The significant demand for micro enterprise and Ian’s involvement
with the education of out of school / work youth, inspired Ian to
start a training college for the training and mentorship of Entrepreneurs.
Ian has authored several training manuals specifically related to
the development and growth of small business and entrepreneurs,
and has trained over 4500 young College and University Graduates
at various Universities and Colleges throughout Southern Africa
and Canada.
Entrepreneurial Development and the implementation of community-based
Micro Enterprise formed the focus of the training activity. Ian
has participated with several South African government departments
including the Small, Medium and Micro Business Desk (SMME) of the
Department for Economic Development, the Department of Arts and
Culture and the Regional Training Trust with projects throughout
Southern Africa for the development of community based business
in rural communities. He has also had the opportunity to participate
in both Radio and Television discussion panels relating to subjects
such as Micro Enterprise Development through Strategic Alliances
and Economic Development through Entrepreneurship.
Ian immigrated to Canada in 1999 where he now consults to small
business in both Canada and the United States. He is involved with
the development of small business, business growth, and is also
provides coaching, training and business plan evaluation at various
Entrepreneurial Programs throughout the Lower Mainland, of British
Columbia. Ian lectures at Langara College, The Lucas Centre for
Continuing Studies, Kwantlen University College and several entrepreneurial
development programs in Vancouver. Ian completed his Doctorate in
Business Administration at Fairfax University,
Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ian runs his own company and he is also
