INSTRUCTOR BIO: 

Jackie Sexson is the Executive Director of The Sexson Group, a legal/human resources consulting and training firm.  As a practicing attorney, she has extensive knowledge and experience in the employment and labor law area.  She has over 15 years experience with Fortune 500 companies and small start-up companies. She has held director and executive level positions with these companies and has worked as an independent consultant with many others. She has held positions of Director of Legal and Human Resources and Assistant General Counsel for large corporations and government entities. She has a vast knowledge of the private sector, the public sector and the education arena.

As an educator, she has taught numerous courses in management, law, criminal justice, human resources and organizational theory at several institutions including Breyer State University, DeVry University, Northcentral University, Troy University and University of Phoenix.  She has taught for over 12 years and is a skilled instructor in the online environment.  Also, she has been a presenter/speaker at numerous conferences on various legal and human resources topics.  She also speaks on special topics related to management areas such as Ethical Leadership.

Jackie holds a law degree, Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in management and currently is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resources Management. She is a current member of the Alabama State Bar Association (member of the Labor/Employment Law Section); member of the American Bar Association (member of the Employment and Labor Law Section); member of the Society for Human Resources Management; and member of a local Kiwanis club.  In her spare time, Jackie enjoys an abundance of outdoor activities as well as writing a novel.
