•  Developed the nursing management team into self directed leaders rather than charge nurses who had no input into planning or budgeting

•  Developed policy and procedure manual for the nursing department and introduced managers to the budget process

•  Conducted cost analysis and cost effectiveness studies focused on capital equipment purchases

•  Developed an acuity tool for use in the Recovery Room which measure productivity as well as provided an accurate charge mechanism for services rendered in the area.
