1. Students of Breyer State University have a right to respect
and to be treated with dignity and be free of discrimination.
Breyer State University does not discriminate on sex, race,
creed, nationality, disabilities or sexual orientation.
2. Students have a right to expect competency of faculty and
a right to receive responses from faculty and administration
within a reasonable time frame.
3. Students have a right to be notified of any and all grades
for any and all courses taken, within a reasonable time frame.
4. Students have a right to file a dissent of a grade. The
filing of a complaint or dissent must be made in writing to
the Dean of Students (studean@breyerstate.com) within 30 days
of notification of the grade that is being questioned. The Dean
of Students will investigate all objections of grades in collaboration
with the President of the University. Students will receive
a response from the investigation with 2 weeks of submitting
written notification of the desire to contest a grade.
5. Students shall have the right to file a complaint against
an instructor or administrative member, for just cause, by contacting
the Administration of Breyer State University with the issues
surrounding the complaint. Breyer State University shall submit
a response to the student within five (7) working days from
the date the complaint was received.
6. Students have a right to have their school records, including
grades, be of a confidential nature and not released without
expressed consent.
7. Students have a right to receive full information regarding
the appropriate access to course materials, instructor's email
address, and other information necessary to successfully complete
a course of study.
8. Students have a right to full privacy concerning issues
of payments and tuition/finances.
9. Students have a right to copies of official transcripts,
after appropriate and reasonable fees are paid.
10. Students have a right to access the resumes of all instructors/faculty
posted in the course classrooms.
11. Students have a right to information and disclosure regarding
accreditation status of Breyer State University.
12. Students have a right to receive full information regarding
degree/certificate and course requirements that are necessary
to receive a degree/certificate/or continuing education award.
13. Students shall have the right to be instructed
by faculty who maintain adequate credentials and experiences in
the subject matter of a course or curriculum.
1. Faculty will decide issues around a student's request for
re-taking an examination. Their decision will be final and binding.
2. Faculty will design course curriculums and author course
syllabus without restrictions.
3. All students are expected to complete courses within the
defined time-frame established for the course. Extensions may
be granted by administration for emergencies, sickness, etc.
Each case is evaluated individually.
4. Students are NOT permitted to give out their Username or
Password or be the cause of any non-enrolled student to have
access to restricted areas of the university web site. Such infraction
may be grounds for being expelled from a course, program, or
the university.
5. Degree Completion Programs
at the associate degree and bachelors degree levels
must be completed within a two-year time frame from the date
of enrollment. Doctoral Students are given four years in which
to complete their program.
6. There is a zero tolerance policy of any misuse of the online
chats rooms or message boards provided by the university. There
is zero tolerance for any use of profanity, obscene language
or writings or symbols, etc. There is zero tolerance for any
statements or acts deemed discriminatory in nature. Such infractions
may likely result in the student's termination from a course,
program or curriculum.
